I’m noticing so many young women joining us here from around the world. While I welcome them, I’m sad that their infection wasn’t avoided. I see advertisements constantly encouraging HIV negative gay men to go on PrEP. I know gay men whose doctors encouraged PrEP. Perhaps I’m just missing it, but I don’t see the same push for sexually active women.

Year 2 of my meds my doc already started seeing signs of weight gain. I am never really hungry but I slowly keep putting on the pounds. The past 2 years I have been going to the gym and I can feel the muscle growth under all the fat. I eat high protein low carb but no real change. It's rare that I drink soda or alcohol. It's frustrating.
Your hiv med. make you gain weight
Just had my 2nd shot. The 1st one was brutal.(a real pain the ass)! This one not quite as bad. Any thoughts?

Do you think it’s time for the CDC and The national institute of health to refresh there terminology on HIV. It’s 2024 not 1983 and major advances have been made. My opinion on the matter is as followed: first retire the word AIDS it is a dirty word and causes stigma. From now on advanced HIV should be used. At the job I got transferred to a shift that I didn't want. And in my mind I blame; the lead, the district manager, and everyone (in my head lol).
