Why Believe Dr. Anthony Fauci?
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

As we are still alive because of Dr. Fauci with his incredible work with AIDS & HIV. Developing daily meds with the big Pharmaceuticals that have helped us stay alive taking a pill a day, (which is individual and different for each of us), I just want to give a shout out to thank him, and glad that he is on the "team" to figure it all out. A brilliant Doctor who's always ahead of the game.

So, my family - do you have confidence in Dr. Fauci or support our President with his philosophy that… read more

Normal Life Span For A 28 Year Old On Biktarvi?
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

Ive been so depressed and saddend that I infected my ex , who is only 28, in part because I feel like I might have robbed him about 10 or 20 years of his life because I am assuming his Biktarvi pills will wear on his liver and kidney eventually, shortening his life span by about a decade or so. My heart ia having a very hard time thinking I robbed this guy of a good handful of years when he gets older because his kidneys or whatever will be worn down sooner due to the meds. While I am happy he… read more

HIV Prevention Commercials
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

Does it bother anyone (or offend) that the new commercials on regular and internet based television airwaves, for HIV/AIDS treatments, show gay men in loving and caring relationships as their poster senerio for needing PREP or Truvada or any other treatment?

Remembering Ryan White. Today Is The Anniversary Of Ryan's Death.
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

Looking back during this time, 🚫 NOT 🚫 what you think today, but looking back to the time, did you think Ryan was treated fairly? Was people justified to be scared back then?
You can be honest, nobody is going to attack you. Things have changed and so has most people.
So, what was your thoughts on Ryan's treatment BACK THEN. AGAIN, 🚫 NOT 🚫 what you think 💬 🤔 today, but what you thought back then.

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

One of the first things I was told is that an HIV / AIDs diagnosis brings with it a rollercoaster of ups and downs so make sure you buckle up. About two years into my diagnosis I can say this has definitely been the case, at least for me. How about yourself? Do any of you remember sage words of wisdom that rang true for you?

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

Talking to those who have had this disease for 20 or more years have made me wonder what progress have we made in keeping them and newly infected alive with meds.im new to this and respect long term survivor’s opinion on this subject. At the same time those newly diagnosed have another perspective. Is This All There Is?
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

Now that the pharmaceutical companies have found a way to keep us alive for 30+ years with a one a day pill, what’s the incentive for them to come up with another pill. Wouldn’t it makes sense for all scientists, pharmaceutical companies etc to now spend all their effort to find a cure. In 15 years from now biktarvy, dovato will lose there patents and these pills will me made by many different companies in generic form which will drop the price for these drugs dramatically?no longer will they be… read more
