What Can The HIV+ Gay Community Do, To Help The HIV+ Straight Community Deal With HIV?
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

Most of the resources for HIV deals with the gay community or is targeted towards the gay community. The HIV+ straight community feels left out in so many ways when dealing with this disease. How can the gay community bring more openness, and more resources to the positive straight community? How can the gay community help the straight community deal with this disease as one and not separate? How can we get HIV organizations to bring awareness to the positive straight community? Even though we… read more

I'm I The Only One Who Feels Openly Speaking About HIV/AIDS Would Make A Huge Difference In People's Perspectives Over It??
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

I mean HIV/AIDS isn't as bad as most people describe it,but how will they know if we HIV positive people are afraid of spreading the information.I feel if the world gets to see it as normal(how healthy we are despite living with the virus),I think that will leave them with nothing to 'finger-point' at😌
Being HIV positive isn't a sin nor a burden,so let's paint a beautiful and bright picture together for the world to see, instead of us just meeting in the dark because we fear judgement. I feel… read more

Does Anyone Experience Any Memory Loss Or Trouble Focusing On Atripla
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

Taking atripla since August 2012, have always experienced a slight feeling of not being able to focus, or feeling somewhat “foggy” in the mornings after waking up, or not being able to think out step by step how to handle something in a stressful environment. Also forgetting small things here and there. Not sure if it could be related to atripla, but these issues didn’t come about until I started It almost 6 years ago

Do You Have Trouble Finding Someone To Date Because Of HIV And/or Your Age? How Do You Handle It?
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

I live in a under-educated part of the country, where if you are honest you are typically shunned. As long as they don't know, all seems to be well. Ignorance is indeed bliss.

I find that at 56 I have become completely comfortable with the man I am and with what I need from a mate. It seems that this clarity coupled with my status creates a very difficult set of circumstances which makes meeting someone both compatible and mutually attracted even harder.

Anyone else experience similar… read more
