Switching From Genvoya To Prezcobix And Tivicay

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭
San Antonio, TX

Hey all! I have been on Genvoya since my diagnosis for more than a year. It seemed to do the job but I had some pretty intense side affects, namely depression diarrhea, muscle and joint soreness. So my doctor just switched me to Prezcobix and Tivicay and I'm just starting them today.

Can anyone tell me your experiences with these 2 drugs combined? Even if it's negative I'd like feedback so I know what to expect. Any feedback is appreciated.

I was on both of those meds. The Prezcobix and Tivicay worked fine but they really didn't help so much with my numbers. I was on both for about two years when I started having problems with my kidneys. I was in stage 4 kidney failure just last year. I just switched to a new medication that doesn't have any side effects and no damage to my kidneys. Just make sure your Dr keeps an eye on your kidney function. I didn't start off with any side effects of both those meds but I had them later.
