As a wise person said (Rob), 2026 is the year of new, 2025 was the year of closing old crap. So yes I am hopeful of positive things this year. It could be a bit bumpy but not all storms come to disrupt your life, some come to clear your path. And 2025 was quite a storm in many ways.

I am. I don't have the feeling of despair like I did going into 2025. Am I happy about everything... no. Am I hopeful that we can start crawling out of the muck and mire... yes.

I follow that reasoning @A myHIVteam Member. I am probably not going to change them either.

It takes me back to the serenity prayer from midpoint in my life. To accept what I can't change, change what I can, and wisdom to know the difference.

I truly don't know how our geopolitical mess will unfold. So much I think depends upon what we see in the spring primary elections coming up in just a couple of months; and how the Fall elections go. Every range of possibility is out there. For my own personal action, this evening I'll be meeting a fellow who is running to unseat our long standing 47 loving Congressman, who is violating his own oath right now. Hopefully the challenger will have a POV more along the line of me (as a locally elected person).
