I feel hopeful. There are some really exciting trials being carried out at the moment, building on 40 years of research.
Even if the current trials do not result in a universal cure, they will still add to the knowledge base and will feed into development of further cure candidates. Sooner or later there will be a major breakthrough.
Funding research has been and continues to be hugely important, as well as attracting the best scientists to work in this area, not forgetting of course, the altruistic people with HIV who give their time and bodies to participate in the trials.
I don't give into conspiracies.
.....thru clinical trials, we will.
Not if big pharma has anything to do with it,it will be up to the scientist
Im beginning to think that after 40 years of studying this virus there has to be some sort of understanding on what needs to be done to cure hiv.i believe hiv reservoirs are what’s halting progress on such a cure. It’s like a scary movie hiv is the villain whos hiding in our bodies. It’s waiting for the opportunity to come out of hiding and defeating us once and for all. ARV medication is the hero in this movie keeping HIV at bay but the villain will continue to find a way to scare us and hurt us. In the end I’m hoping this movie of our lives ends like most horror movies with the bad guy finally defeated .
What I'm talking about is not a conspiracy. It was published in a scientific journal, in 2011.
