I Am Replacing Duvato With Cabenuva Injections.
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

I am replacing Duvato with the cabenuva shots this coming Monday. Has anyone had any drug interactions taking Cabenuva injection with any other drugs?

Here's a follow-up to my second injections... I was in significant pain in my right hip and upper thigh. I received the shots just after 2 pm. When I arrived home, I could barely walk from the car to the house. I immediately went to bed, took pain relievers, and there fir the next 26 hours. It was difficult to find a comfortable position. I tried using a pillow between my legs. This helped me get to sleep. The pain continued for almost a week with varying degrees of intensity.
I'm now scheduled to have my next shots on August 16. I'll report whether the pain is as intense or if I'm adjusting to the injections. I haven't given up yet.

I had my first Cabenuva shots on May 17th. I'll be receiving my second shots on June 16th. Before I changed from Genvoya to the shots, the pharmacologist at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto gave a detailed review of my current medications and their potential interactions. There were no concerns expressed and I have only had two side effects from the initial shots... localized pain in the injection sites and weight gain. I'm doing my best to ensure that the weight gain doesn't get out of hand. I'm grateful for the wonderful medical team that I have at St. Mike's.

I was on Triumeq and have had my second Cabenuva shot. I haven't noticed any side effects other than shot site minor pain. I am also on Zoloft, and I have been on Oxy and Clonazepam recently as well thanks to surgery. I haven't had any adverse side effects. Good luck, and keep us posted!

Congratulations, same here. I was on Biktarvy. I also take trazadone and Zoloft and have not had any problems. Just make sure to ask your Dr or specialist. They are always the best to ask. We can only advise if we have had any problems.
