Is it possible if your on arvs and undetectable to get another hiv infection from another person . From what I’m understanding is that reinfection is rare. And usually only becomes a problem if you contract a different strain that is resistant to the arvs your taking. But my understanding is the resistance new virus would have to be resistant to all the ingredients of your arv to cause issues. Anyone have thoughts on this

England is so different than the US it seems
In aug I had got sick with a uti and it was pretty bad because I didn’t know I had it. With me fighting that there was maybe two time within that week I missed my meds. In September I think I had missed as well but I also been up and down with takin them at the same time everyday but I am takin them and that’s only due to work and sleep. 2) I see many people on this site refer to the U=U study and how HIV can not be passed along. They think they are still safe to have unprotected sex, because they are undetectable. The answer to that is NO, you are not safe to have unprotected sex. You can still get other STI's, but let's stick to just HIV

I was drug resistant to several medications so I therefore do not have the option to even think about U=U . I am just concerned about surviving as I have aids and it got down to a tcell count of 4.
