How do you communicate with a member in private

there is no private chat on this site. you can talk to someone, but everyone will see what you're saying. only way is to share phone numbers or emails. if you share phone numbers and emails correctly, they will be blocked from everyone but the person you want to see them. If you share them NOT correctly, everyone WILL see them.

There are a couple of ways to connect with other members privately on myHIVteam.

Direct Messaging
You can send another member a direct message within the community. To do this:

1. Go to the "Meet Others" section
2. Search for the member you'd like to reach
3. Tap their username to visit their profile
4. Leave them a Show Full Answer

Sharing Contact Info Privately
If you'd like to share your personal contact details (like an email or phone number), you can post directly on that member's page. That information will be hidden from the rest of the community — only you, the recipient, and the page owner will be able to see it.

Just be careful — if you share contact info in a general post rather than on a specific member's page, it will be visible to everyone!
