Members responded to the question about handling negative and toxic people with a strong, shared message: protect your peace by creating distance. Several members shared personal stories about cutting off toxic siblings, neighbors, and friends, with one member noting that stress from toxic relationships even worsened a physical condition, reinforcing how real the health impact can be. A recurring theme was that you cannot change toxic people, only your response to them, and many encouraged setting firm boundaries, practicing self-care, and surrounding yourself with uplifting people instead.

Let your sanity be known and agree to disagree with the toxic people. Walk away. Even if they live with you. They will get the hint adventure-wily

I remove them from my life. I have a sister that I have not talked to in 26 years, she threw a fit and cut off commication, so I left it at that. Also any friends that are toxic, no matter how close we were, I just eliminate them from my circle of friends. Live it too short to deal with toxic people.. Too bad a realized this so late in life. 😂

Thank you and the reason I posted is because it hits close to home and some of the people that I deal with in my life. I've learned to remove myself and be more of a gentleman but it does create for a lonely existence. I think as time goes on, I've learned to appreciate the quiet and the lessons and just rather stay by the side and watch and hope and pray that people learn and just do the right thing.

Avoid as much as possible. When it's a sibling it's hard
