Ok I’m gonna hit a nerve with someone on here lol. But that’s how we learn. I in no way have an answer to most of my questions that’s why I post them. So here it goes tops should not bottom, bottoms should not top. Versatile I know people are gonna hate this but versatile is a bottom for the most part.for the majority of us the fact is bottoms get HIV simple as that. Tops don’t get HIV unless they also bottom. Ok we are not bringing up drug use or anything else for my senerio. Versatile is the… read more

Members engaged in a lively and candid discussion about HIV transmission risk and sexual roles, with many sharing personal experiences about how they contracted HIV or navigated prevention. Several members pushed back on the idea that only bottoms are at risk, pointing out that tops can also contract HIV and that straight men account for thousands of new diagnoses each year. A recurring theme was that modern prevention tools like PrEP, regular testing, and undetectable viral loads are the most reliable protections, regardless of sexual role.

I like taking turns…and sometimes it’s whoever gets there first.

Brad, no hate here. Your observation is insightful. Versatile here, and you're right about it being like a game of russian roulette; I knew better, but was careless, plain and simple. I wish I'd been smarter about it all, but now I'm just glad that I'm undetectable. Peace, brother. ☮️

They can, though I find that this largely depends on circumstances and the situation. On the most part, I only bottom. In some cases though, I absolutely WILL top, such as when I'm in a relationship. In such cases though, it's more of a have your way with me, do your thing, then roll over cause it's my turn kind of arrangement.

On that note, I will say that it is not impossible to contract HIV as a top. An ex of mine contracted HIV from having topped someone. What is true though is that the odds of contracting HIV are exponentially higher as a bottom than as a top. So while it is not as likely, it is still possible to contract HIV as a top.

I am pretty sure none of us are here as a result of our adherence to safe sex practices. Which is not shaming. Human interactions often result in passing viruses to each other; and viruses mutate to exploit that.

I don't think it makes sense at all to feel ashamed nor in any way bad about which viruses have infected us any more than it makes sense to go after viruses intentionally. That said, intentional is not without precedent. Mom's in my neighborhood would have a play party whenever the common childhood malady to come into it so that mom's could get past the sick kid time supporting each other. Most of those now have vaccines; but there was a time...

Sadly, we seem to be moving back towards those times....
