Members connected warmly around the question of feeling like you don't belong anywhere, with many sharing that this feeling has been a lifelong experience. Several members described finding peace in being a loner, valuing a small circle of trusted people, and learning to set boundaries that protect their well-being. A recurring theme was that this community itself feels like a safe and caring family, and many reached out with resources like HIV support groups and the PLW HIV Caucus for anyone seeking connection.

I am happy being a loner and I can count the few people I call my friend and family.
Doesn’t bother me anymore. I have a social life now and Iam enjoying every moment of it until I can. I have been working for 34 years major airline I hate people and I don’t want to be near any group of any kind 😂
PS this is my only group allowed in my life cause we all have something in common ❤️💋

Yes, so I made my own dang group, and now it's a 501c3, CA-certified, and a large part of the community. Irony is, I loved being a lone wolf too, with my dog. She passed, so I'm stuck with humans now and all their issues lol. I've gained the wisdom to actually avoid some people and groups for sanity. Anyway, I like you and you're a part of this family so ...there! I was reading also some people feel left out or different when they are emotionally matured, and "see above the fray of the screaming, selfish, rude monkeys out there." It could be a subconscious choice.

I’ve felt the same way but now I’m like i don’t care. I’m happy being alone with a few freinds and family every once in awhile and I’m good
