I wouldn't tell anybody what they're going to care for I would just try to enjoy my life to the fullest until it's time to go
@A myHIVteam Member indeed it seems really common here in our PLWH community that we form new families often composed of people who are not our biological relatives.
I am with you @ Xavier. I would never tell anybody. If we haven't spoken in a week, why should we speak when I am about to go?🤷🏽😁
Hi everybody I honestly think that is best not to say anything to anybody about the diagnosis it doesn't matter how much time you got here on Earth people are very strange only thing they're going to do is gossip about it not even talk or try to support you with anything.
understand what you meant in your post.
I actually told my older brother and sister about my diagnosis. I thought I would get support, but instead my brother said it was my fault and told me not to let our mom know. He said I should handle it myself and that I didn’t need to tell them.
That response hurt more than the diagnosis itself.
Sometimes the silence feels safer than rejection. But at the same time, we are still human… we still need support.
Reading your words made me feel less alone.
