Yesterday proved to be closer to ideal. We enjoyed watching the movie CARS; which came out twenty years ago.
I wouldn’t know what an ideal weekend would be. I work mostly weekends
My ideal weekend is the kind that feels roomy - no rushing, no guilt, just a clean reset.
Saturday starts slow: I sleep in a bit, have a good breakfast (something warm), then do one satisfying “life admin” thing so it stops hovering in my head. After that, I’d take a long walk somewhere green, grab coffee, and spend the afternoon on something fun and absorbing (a book, a movie, or a creative project). Evening is for good food and a low-key hang with people I like.
Sunday is lighter: a calm morning, a bit of movement, tidy up the space, then plan the week in a simple way so Monday feels easier. Early night, cozy vibes.
If I’m choosing a “theme,” it’s usually one of these:
Recharge: rest + nature + early nights
Social: brunch + friends + a small adventure
Explore: day trip + new place + photos
alone time with any of my animals (thru the years)walk little contact with anyone
Going to the hotel at the casino and having a good time eating and drinking
