Well up date I have finally met a women that is totally ok with my diagnosis, she actually found it refreshing my honesty an she has some medical things with herself that other people judge her for so we have that in common, she is quite attractive an so far we have been talking for almost 2 weeks an we deffinatly enjoy each other conversation . So I am suppose to meet her in person this weekend at a fair an see how the in person meet goes. She is nearly 18 years younger then me so I am a little concerned that the age gap may be a barrier, it is nice to at least have some easy conversation.

Yea I have done that, I mean this women an I were chatting for a few times an it was going great , we had set a time an place to actually meet (I was introduced via facebook by a friend at work) I mean not to be explicit but she had sent me explicit pictures unprompted becuse she was into me that much. So after she sent those pictures I felt obligated to tell her. I was going to wait to meet in person but those pictures changed my mind.

Once I disclosed the only thing she said again was she wouldnt tell the guy that introduced us that I had hiv. Then ghosted me.

Thank god I have some decent friends, I really went into a depression at first (an I am in recovery) literally I was about to throw away my sobriety becuse of how awful I felt. But, my friend Perry came over an him an i just went around doing some of my errands an i did some clothes shopping an got a hair cut an I seem to have felt better.

I still think about it alot but during the 4 years I have had it I think I have come to terms with I may be alone the rest of my life. Which isnt the worst thing. At least the friends I have are there for me an me for them.

I found this site because of my depression

Let us know when you figure it out. Dating in general is hard especially as you get older. What’s worked for me is different types of dating sites and allowing myself to build some type of connection. If I can’t even connect after a few exchanges then why even bother disclosing. Best of luck to you
