Lately I have been feeling like I am running out of time to do all the things I have dreamed of doing. My friends and family don't get it. They say I should be still and happy in the moment.

Members reflected on how witnessing deaths from HIV and AIDS has shaped their relationship with time, with many acknowledging that facing mortality shifts priorities toward making the most of life while it lasts. Several members described finding peace in aging, balancing bucket-list urgency with gratitude for small moments, and channeling their awareness of mortality into giving back, helping others, and becoming the best versions of themselves. A recurring theme was that living with HIV forces people to confront their mortality earlier than most, which can inspire both urgency and a deeper appreciation for the present.

I agree with you 100% Brooke. I faced my mortality twice in my lifetime and both times was a deep wake-up call to appreciate every second and not waste any of it. Whether it's giving back helping out hosting at this point of my life wherever I can help, I do. Personally I just like to know that going forward, I have done all I've could to.. be the best version of myself. ❤️

I guess I have to list the bucket list, and the tuck it list. Sometimes things jump between the two. Do your best to enjoy life important experiences, sharing time with family and friends.

I used to feel the same. I had this incessant heartbeat that wouldn't stop and I felt that I was missing out on something somewhere somehow. Not anymore though. These last couple of years since I've turned 60 I've had a feeling of ease and peace as to where I am in my life. I believe I'm exactly where I was meant to be. Perhaps in time you too will find the peace that I am speaking of and understand what it means to be... in the moment. 🌈❤️🌞

Yes I have an appointment with a new doctor. The one who found it is too busy.
