Patient Advocate Foundation...

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭
Port Washington, WI

Received snail mail the other day; April 1 specifically. It is thick envelope from some place called Patient Advocate Foundation and in bold print "Co-Pay Relief". They are from Hampton VA.

There are phone numbers to call and most likely I will. But this also could be an April fools scam. Has anyone else here heard of this outfit?

Thanks

Members rallied around someone who received unexpected mail from Patient Advocate Foundation offering co-pay relief, with multiple members confirming the organization's legitimacy and encouraging direct contact with a case worker. Several members celebrated when the original poster successfully secured medication assistance through the foundation and shared guidance on choosing between Biktarvy and Dovato, with the consensus being that Biktarvy's three-drug formulation offers stronger frontline protection against resistance despite Dovato having fewer medications. A recurring theme was the power of persistence and community encouragement in navigating insurance barriers, with members expressing hope that this success story would inspire others facing similar challenges to keep advocating for themselves.

They seem legitimate. Their website is very good and they've been nominated as one of the best not-for-profit agencies in 2023. Why don't you just give them a call and before you fill anything out.....Talk to a case worker there. Perhaps they can help you fill out that packet.🤗

Also @A myHIVteam Member I am a bit stunned. After so many walls I had just come to accept that I would wait until the 2025 plan year.
