I had heard of AIDS before I ended up positive. It doesn’t mean I did it on purpose or anything like that. No need for guilt or shame. We’re all human and all make mistakes.

It's a combination of three factors.

1) Some people think that if they take PrEP, they're fine, but this is not the case as PrEP only reduces the risk and is not a guarantee.

2) Many people who spread HIV are actually blissfully unaware that they even have it because they have not been tested.

3) There is a sub-culture (at least in the gay community) that actually gets sexual gratification out of the spread of HIV. On the other side of that, there are some who find it arousing to sleep with someone with HIV. We call these people bug chasers.

David.LFisherJr2 I hope things are going well in Oakland. I went to Oakland on the Bart and have very fond memories of my time in the San Francisco area. I think the UK Government is merely keen to save money, and they provide Prep to Gay men free of charge, as its cheaper than treating them for HIV infection.. The Government pays for all health treatment for all UK Nationals, so its merely a money saving excercise, rather than a love of Gay men🤐

U=U and I don't use condoms because it's a mortal sin to use them. People are starting prep but it's still not accessible to everyone.
