At 38+ yrs with this, I am experiencing digestive, organ, & an array of other problems that point directly to the toxicity of ALL the HIV meds I've had over the years & the health problems from just that makes diagnosis difficult for dr's & prolongs suffering & depletes quality of life. This fact is "ALWAYS" overlooked when talking about "aging & HIV", ALWAYS!!!
Thank you,

Thank you too for understanding my point. I hope I didn't come across too negative or ungrateful about medications but my "history" & "experience" with them is playing out now all these yrs later & this was always a fear of mine, - "to live long enough to suffer through the long term side effects". These days I have been so lucky to have dr's that are honest with me & confirm allot of my health issues;, organ damage, metabolic issues, etc. are a direct result of specific meds & try their best to help me with quality of life. I've also learned that of course the sensitivity to & reaction to those "early day" meds & some new meds is unique to each one of us. I guess I'm one of them & I'm always weighing out my pros & cons on a regular.
Thank you again & here's to HEALTHY, HAPPY, JOYOUS days for you ALWAYS!🌞

Thanks David. I'm not sure it is "always" overlooked, but it is often overlooked. In particular the meds you started off with had massive side effects. I'm not sure we even know the longer term effects of modern cocktails. But purportedly they have less side effects.
I was 25 when I was diagnosed and I'm 62 now and the only problem through the years is dealing with life challenges but other than that life is still great for me. Not only am I a grandma I'm a great grandmother too
I hear ya!🤗
