Exercise, getting outdoors, cycling, kayaking, hiking, gym, getting involved with LGBTQ and Meetup groups (straight or gay) , my dog, letting go of the past, knowing worry doesn't solve a damn thing. Good diet and rest, meditation and prayer. Funny and romantic movies and smart books. Getting involved in community and volunteering-helping others gets you out of your self.
I have a therapist who helps me. I volunteer, I have a family that supports me, I am a part of this team, I am grateful for my life and have a clear direction of where I want to be in my life. Numerous things in our daily lives can suppress or eliminate any feelings of depression.
