@A myHIVteam Member, my insurance only allows 30 days at a time too, but they do allow you to refill 1 week ahead of time, so that you don't run out. If you order your meds every 23 days on the dot, no matter how many pills you have left, you will start building up a reserve supply. At one time i had 12 months of pills on hand. That's because I ordered every 23 days on the dot, even if I had 3 or 5 or 10 months already on hand. You never know when an emergency will come up and you can't refill or refill on time.
Way back when I was first diagnosed, i has left my meds on the edge of the table. Went to work came back home and the dog chewed up my pills. Found pills laying everywhere. Some still good, others with dog teeth marks in them broken open. I still took them! LOL. Anyway, in all, he had eaten about 2½ weeks worth because i didn't find anymore. I did let the doctor know right away. I was fine BUT not everyone's bodies works the same.
Everyone is different you should probably talk to your doctor as most doctors don't advise it but some people here have gone on long holidays.
this the the 4th at this clinic - no other PCP is taking New Patients
its out of state as i left the clinic in my state as it was even worse - right now no where else for me to go

Well then you should find another PCP or an Internal Medicine PCP.
