Is There Ever A Time Were You Don’t Feel Bitter About Your Status?
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

I find myseld getting annoyed at ppl when they pride themselves on having no STI/HIV. Of course they dunno my status but it still feels like a slap to the face!

I've had to deal with this but more than my status was the betrayl of my friend of over 12 years and then became my partner we even went to get tested at 6 months before we stopped using protection. I finally forgave him but it took a while. My HIV status became a way to reach out others to warn them of not just HIV but the so many other STD's, some of these are now resistant to treatment. I am very concerned about U=U and people not using protection against the other STD's.

Sometimes but I then realize that I am alive and thriving, with the support of my family and friend's. HIV was deadly and now it's a manageable chronic illness. It is normal for people with any illness to feel that way. I don't beat myself up about HIV, in fact I beat HIV up. 😊❤
