Members responded to new information about weaker COVID-19 vaccine responses in people with HIV who have CD4 counts below 200, with many sharing their doctors' recommendations for additional vaccine doses and the importance of monitoring immune response through bloodwork. Several members raised concerns about declining white blood cell counts after multiple shots, with one member noting their count dropped from 13 to 4.2 across three doses and cautioning others to monitor their levels closely. A recurring theme was the tension between trusting medical advice, taking personal precautions to protect health, and individual beliefs about fate and divine protection, with most members choosing to proceed with boosters despite nervousness or uncertainty.

I received my booster in August., being a person with AIDS I need to take it every 5 months until we reach herd immunity and I have absolutely no problem with that because I want to live😁

I was informed by my doctor that because my t-cells are at 12% that I would benefit from from a third vaccine shot instead of the booster shot.
