Would You Get A Booster Shot If The CDC Authorized It For People With HIV?
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

Within the next couple of days the CDC may authorize Covid vaccine booster shots for those of us with immune compromise illness
Ike HIV.
——————-
“An estimated 2.7 percent of adults in the United States are immunocompromised, according to the CDC. It is unclear which groups would be covered under the expected FDA action. Immunocompromised patients include organ transplant recipients, people undergoing cancer treatment and people with HIV, among others.”

Yes! As an RN I often feel exposed more than the general public. If a booster will provide me more protection, then I'm all for it!

People who still work are now being subject to vaccine mandates in order to continue working you have to be vaccinated, especially in the health worker field. The booster shot is a no brainer for anyone concerned for their health and continued protections. It will be just like the annual flu shots we get already.
My arm is at the ready for the booster. The delta variant is taking a toll in every state almost worse than last year at its peak. The transmission and infection rate on Maui is frightening. As a TSA officer in Maui, my daughter has caught covid 🤒 and is recuperating at home as I write this. She did not get vaccinated while pregnant even though she was cleared to do so by her gynecologist. Now she's sick and cannot get vaccinated until recovery is imminent.
All of us here need all the protection we can get based on scientific facts and not just rumors.
I miss all of my friends here, we are selling the house only to get financially back on our feet, divide up the profits and go our own way.
I remain a part of the team just at a distance while we sort things out. Aloha!
