First of all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone. It's pretty common to have depression during the holidays for some people. I guess I am because I can't be with friends due to CoVid, our plans were pretty much scrapped. Also it feels like we are living in the twilight zone or something. Covid is seemingly out of control, hopefully with the vaccine things will begin to slow. And is the President going to take time off from his golf game at Maralago to sign the Covid relief billโ€ฆ read more

Members opened up about how depression hits harder during the holidays, sharing the pain of canceled plans, isolation from family due to COVID-19, and the weight of grief over lost loved ones mixed with political uncertainty and pandemic stress. Several members described finding strength through new traditions, chosen families, leaning on this community for support, and remembering that the holidays don't have to look perfect to still hold meaning. A recurring theme was resilience in the face of loneliness and disappointment, with many expressing gratitude for the connection and understanding they found here when physical gatherings weren't possible.

I am a Christmas person I have always loved this time of the year the festive lights the packages and windows all the displays presents are not so keen on because it's kind of a stressful time what do you buy for this and would you buy for that one as I've aged my family has deceased and that part of the stress is over the part that I realized is that we should never have stressed on that we should have stressed moron family and food and gatherings presents are just things that ties you have with your family or forever now that they're gone they're still with me in my heart and that is the way I look at Christmas because they never expected me to stop living just because they aren't and I know they looking on me and I know that they push me along every now and then someone will come into mind and that's their way of saying that I'm here so for those of you that are depressed I am really sorry you need to find new traditions and new families and I have gotten rid of the negative in my life I'm trying to work more towards the positive I have negative things going on but they're not holding me back and my family here even though I'm not on every day when I check in on everybody they seem to be doing okay sorry that there's a lot of you that I would like to meet and we could sit and have chats and figure out what's going on with everything in their lives in my lives and see if we can't make a plan for us to get out of the the whole Merry Christmas to all happy New Year to all may your health be 100% throughout the year and your disease stay undetectable and your lives be as normal as normal can be because you are normal the only problem is we just have a disease something that nobody feels that they want but unfortunately we have it so no biggie there I just go on and pay as if I don't have any of it Merry Christmas Happy New Year

I am praying for you and your family. Because of the fact that she is dealing with terminal lung cancer as long as you take precautions you should be able to go and visit with her unless she is in a nursing home where they are in lockdown so they get no visitors allowed which is a shame when someone is dying and can't have family around them.

The president has hinted he may not sign the bill. He wants people to get a $2,000 stimulus check. After Democrats heard that, they upped the ante from $600 to $2,000 but Republicans don't want nothing to do with it. So the president has 2 choices, he can veto the bill without the $2,000 which could be overridden, or he can just not sign it until the new congress starts where democrats have control and sign it then.
