Proud of you for your achievements @A myHIVteam Member, can’t have been easy. No one deserves to get the virus, those that contacted you obviously weren’t friends and your life is better without them. We all have a past, it’s deciding what to do with the future.
Be well, be safe, enjoy your week 🤗
Having been the spouse of a terminally ill person, I would agree, if it were proven to ease their pain. However, even going the morphine route, once started, my partner never mentally returned. The hallucinations n rapid deterioration, to the point of being unable to speak was excruciating to witness. Some of the hallucinations scared him really badly. I would recommend being as informed as you can be before making such as decision
If it eases their distress, then I’m all for it (and you know how much I’m not into drugs). I dread to think what goes through an EOL’s mind in the late stages, if they can get some relief then it certainly should be allowed.
As someone that worked in a hospital-unless the patient is Mentally there ( at which point a am For anything) that will make them more comfortable-
for the patient that are “out of it” the morphine drip is for the family and a Legal walk around
I get it - i do - I have had to make the Call alone could not find my sister to discuss-
All I can say is Don’t think of you - think of them and them only
don’t judge any one for anything
There but for the grace of the Cosmos goes you...
@A myHIVteam Member, that is horrific, it wasn’t anyone else’s place to tell of your dx. No wonder you need to let them know. I’m not one for writing things down (it’s psychological for me) but it does work for many - I hope you get all your frustrations out with your letters and can heal after all this time. Take it easy, my friend 🤗
