Low Cd4 Count
A myHIVteam Member asked a question πŸ’

With those of us that lower cd4 counts (its been a month since my last labs and mine were at 53) do you still go out in public? Are you terrified? My doctor told me it was ok to go places as long as i took the precautions (mask, hand sanitizer, washing hands, etc) but i still havent built up the nerve to go anywhere or do anything which is kinda driving me nuts lol. I havent been anywhere since i got out of the hospital at the beginning of april. I was just wondering if i was the only one this… read more

@A myHIVteam Member, when I first became poz in 2013 I went to the Test Positive Aware Network in Chicago for counseling and also attended a newly diagnosed support group. There I met several employees and volunteers that were at zero or near zero like u. They all seemed to be living pretty normal productive lives. Apparently it can take a long time for the CD4 cells to recover to the 225 to 500 or better range though - especially when recovery starts at a very low point; yet one typically still becomes undectable extremely fast; so hang in there and eat well too as nutrition is super important for CD4 recovery.

Love u!

Hugs,

Jacy πŸ’‹

Sweetie, Seize the day, for tomorrow we may be facing a virus....oh wait...that happened already. It is like we are in an episode of the Twilight Zone. Masks are a must and I use hand sanitizer but would suggest gloves for you, sugar, just for now. But live, as we all need to do. You did what someone told me in the beginning, get busy living or get busy dying. You got busy living and are very positive, which is important to your health. hugs to you
