Just good old fashioned self care and motivation. Finding balance in your life with your family, in-laws, friends, co-workers, eating healthy with occasional junk food binges, taking medications prescribed, daily multi vitamin, growing up and living in Hawaii (environment is a huge factor) feeding the soul with the word, having pets, not just one but many, loving your grand children and they loving me back. Diagnosed in March of 1985, 1 month after my first child was born, all of these things happening at once was a blessing and whirlwind of activity back then. I never started to address my HIV until at least 10 years since diagnosis when I started to get sick. I am fortunate and have only my creator to thank.
