What has everyone used that has been able to lose the visceral belly fat that comes along with hiv? Exercise has done nothing to reduce mine and it fluctuates in size. I've thought about egrifta, but not sure the side effects are worth it and not sure I can get coverage on my insurance provider. Thoughts?
I too have the visceral fat. Unfortunately from the meds my doctor kept me on. I am on egrifta, as well as metformin and androgen. Egrifta has a great program, and will help with financial assistance. What I don't understand is why they have not been able to remove the excess fat. We out a man on the moon, getting ready to put a man on Mars, do heart surgery on an unborn child in its mother's womb, yet, they can't figure out to remove visceral fat. It is an never ending battle
@A myHIVteam Member I just started with the belly fat. Ever since I turned 50 this little belly fat started showing up. I don't like it. I don't planned to go over a 32' waist. I have too many clothes to be throwing them out. So if anyone have an ideas I would appreciate the help. I can't exercise like I use to due to my surgeries and the ones I still have to have. Doctors are not sure what kind of exercises I can do without making to much discomfort in my back. I just want my stomach flat to look good in my clothes and bathing suits. Call me vein, I don't care. I still want to look good in my 50's. I'm not growing old gracefully, I'm fighting it every step of the way, LOL!
I tried agrifta to but it did not work and I was afraid of all the side effects so I stopped using it
thank you
It's the gift we get for still being alive. Xo
