Changing Meds?

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

I am currently on 3 pills a day. I am now undetectable. I was thinking of switching to 1 pill a day as it can make things easier, and my doctor is letting me choose the one I want. I am nervous to switch as I am doing so well on the 3 I am taking now. Thoughts?

WOW 3 pills a day that is great. I am on 5 & was told options are limited. I would love 1pill a day but because of resistance to many of what's out there I am stuck. What I am trying to say is it could be worse like me resistant to so many options. If 3 is bearable... Good luck & be blessed.😇

Chatting with the Pharmacy Doctor was about the virus is opportunistic and virus mutate quicker when given even the slightest window. I was away 2 days without my meds. In a blood test a few weeks later my clinical nurse lectured me on why daily meant every single day and never take the slightest risk.

I wouldn't change meds if they are working for you and if the side effects don't bother you too much.

In the same boat - 3 pills a day. My CD4 is great, and I don't think I want to risk changing things.
