Personally I wouldn't cut meds in half. I have been part of a discussion about pills being large, and the pharmacist said that the pills are coated to break down in your system over a period of time, and cutting them would affect this and could have a negative effect.

As for regularly missing doses, only do this under the advice of your medical team if at all, as you can risk building resistant to a particular element of your medication (or all).

Raise the issue of fatigue. Or try other stuff. I find exercise is a great way to feel energised. Even a short brisk walk is better than nothing. Also ask your clinic if they have a dietician. The right foods also have a boost. I start the day with a multi vitamin, but speak to your care teams before doing this.

I too know about the conumdrum of swallowing " horse pills " since the first cocktail I was on contained katlera and even tho they were gel caps the durn things could still trigger a gag reflex .

Oh wow so you know more than your Doctor, good for you. Is this Doctor an HIV specialist? If he is well you are the bomb. It s not the pharmaceutical companies that perscribed the Meds. They are the ones that made them tested them and found the correct dose to correctly attack the virus, and help you stay healthy. But hey again you are the bomb. So why look at research? Why not look at some moron who wants to do what ever he wants, and be angry. If you are tired check your levels, (iron testosterone etc) , but you have an undetectable viral load because you have a strong immune system and taking meds. If the omens can control the viral load, why tax your body. But hey what do the researchers know, what do the doctors know, and what do those (like myself) who gave been guiennie pigs for research to help kind a cure? But go ahead play with your meds, listen to some narcissistic man, the choice is yours. But in the early days , individuals did go out of the US and get drugs so ask them how they worked, oh wait they are dead .
