I saw a lot of things last nigh and I can't believe this is a debate. What did you take away from the conversation last night?
Last night, February 4, Trump promised the nation that “we will eradicate the AIDS epidemic in America by the end of the decade.” Trump also promised this: “I have also made an ironclad pledge to American families: We will always protect patients with preexisting conditions—that is a guarantee. With the elections around the corner, a lot of us are not aware of the services such as Ryan White Funding that is allocated by each state and trickles down to the cities but given by the federal government. These programs are valuable to a lot of us. How would your vote help in the continuation of these programs?

Should the term "AIDS" be retired? I think @A myHIVteam Member might have mentioned this, but this is the first time I've seen it on Medscape.
Is AIDS just advanced HIV infection, or would eliminating the term give the impression that it's no longer a problem?
On the other hand, it might mean that deaths from TB and malaria are down, due to better control of the pathogens & mosquitoes.
Epidemiology is complicated by many factors, like poverty, war, the… read more

The ignorance of some people amazes me. Being positive these days is not a death senotence by any means and people need to be aware of that.
