I'm on biktarvy 6 years now my whole body numb with pins and needles it will be 29 years September 26

My cd4 was 2 when i was diagnosed and dr said i had a compromised immune system. As my cd4 went up and being undetectable does that go away? Or will i forever have a compromised immune system?

Have you had to access therapy or take additional medication for this stress? Has your immune system shown sigs of repression from this stress?

Just got routine labs: HIV undetectable. CD4 606. Cocci positive. New since Fall 2023. No symptoms that I remember.

I am nervous about getting, the vaccine. I don’t know what to do. I may ask my doctor, when I see him, on the 19th of May.

Well I got my test results back viral load. was 40 now 30. Cd 4 count was 653 now 653 I thought it would get higher. Cd4 cd 8 ratio 1.98 only thing out of range but just by a little was alkaline phosphates at 128 does anyone know what that is? All in all am I doing good with these numbers for being on meds for almost a year? Thanks

Now that the pharmaceutical companies have found a way to keep us alive for 30+ years with a one a day pill,what’s the incentive for them to come up with another pill. Wouldn’t it makes sense for all scientists,pharmaceutical companies etc to now spend all their effort to find a cure. Wondering if we fall into the immune compromised category as described by the CDC if our CD 4 count is in the range of normal. It probably doesn't matter for me since I'm in my 60's and have kidney disease which both put me in the high risk category for the Coronavirus. Also I have heard through the HIV grapevine that being on AIDS meds might offer some protection.

AIDS Advocacy groups are protesting the companies producing the vaccine for not including persons with HIV into trials. Currently 1.2 million people in America are living with HIV/AIDS. I read one company, however, included 120 persons with HIV in a trial including 30,000 I believe. Out of those 120, one was placebo, the others got the vaccine and had no problems.
