I hear about first line treatment second line treatment and third line treatment. What does that mean? I’m on biktarvy is that first line treatment?
Just to be clear , the two drugs that are keeping me undetectable, do so, as they were completely new agents, when I first started them. So even though I had more or less total drug resistant HIV in… read more
Hey all! I have been on Genvoya since my diagnosis for more than a year. It seemed to do the job but I had some pretty intense side affects, namely depression diarrhea, muscle and joint soreness. So my doctor just switched me to Prezcobix and Tivicay and I'm just starting them today.
Can anyone tell me your experiences with these 2 drugs combined? Even if it's negative I'd like feedback so I know what to expect. Any feedback is appreciated.
Didnt know you could take more than one hiv med?
My neuropathy has calmed down from back in the day of all the "D" meds that triggered it in the first place. I will be switching to this med as soon as the Atripla runs out
I was diagnosed in 1987 living half my life with HIV. I am interested in connecting with people who are also Long Term Survivors. I have searched the site and have found quite a few. We are so few and far between it has been hard to find others who have been through the journey we have experienced. Having lost so many friends in the 80 's and 90's plus being diagnosed myself has made me feel survivors guilt and PTSD. Looking for others who have experienced some of the same and like to set… read more
1985 & diagnosed "full blown" 1990 although they don't use that term anymore! Thank goodness! I read earlier on this site a comment about "long term" & the difficulties we face. We do have different… read more
I have had two attacks of pancreatitis due to hiv meds, have anyone else had this problem. The meds I was taking truvada in 2017 and precobix in 2020.
I suspect that my pancreatitis has been caused by Truvada and Nevirapene. How do you know that your meds were the cause and not other things like eg alcohol?
This topic was discussed during the course of the virus. Wondered if there ever was any scientific evidence to support it, and what HIV meds. I've been completely vaccinated and had my booster. But now seeing another Covid variant emerging out of South Africa and spreading fast to border countries, I figure we need all the protection we can get as immune compromised individuals.
I would be sure and ask your doctor. I currently take two pills a day. My doctor said I could miss up to a week with no worries. That said, I have never done that, but it's still good to know if I… read more
Well unfortunately @@Genvoya is not what I expected. I have every side effect listed plus a few more. Here we go...insomnia, lack of appetite, nausea, headache, diarrhea, rash, worsening neuropathy, nightmares nightmares nightmares and this strange thing which makes my eyebrows tingle after I take the dang stuff. My ID Doc wants to switch me and of course she says she has never seen this with one of her patients...lucky me. My question is this: Anyone else have issues with @@Genvoya and have… read more
Is anyone out there on Juluca? Biktarvy is a definite NO as Genvoya almost killed me and my current two pill combo Prezcobix and Isentress has to go. Just been doing my research as my natural course was derailed by a nasty viral infection so I’m looking to get as much of these toxins out of my regimen and Juluca is the first with only 2. Thanks everyone💫
Thank you so much my friend as I feel trapped and after all these years, for the first time I find myself at a crossroad that only the father can help me to cross! I thank you for your prayers and… read more
Has anyone on Stribild experience body fat movement and if so when did you notice this happening?
hi there, i have been reading into the meds and how they react to different people and they all seem to say the same about the fat around the mid section, what you could try is cutting your cards and… read more
I have no idea why or how but according to my viral load test my VL went from undetectable to 93. I have never missed my biktarvy. None of it makes sense.
My doctor mentioned possibly switching from biktarvy to something else to see if another medication would “jump start” my cd4. Now she may really want to since my VL is increasing.
I’ve taken several different meds for hiv. Sometimes because of drug resistance, others because they don’t work like they should.
I’ve been on one called duranavir (I think that’s how you spell it)… read more
