Managing STI risk is really important when living with HIV. Here are some key ways to protect yourself and others:

- Condoms — Using latex condoms consistently and correctly every time you have sex is one of the best ways to reduce STI transmission. Always use water-based lubricants with latex condoms, as oil-based ones can damage the latex.
- Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) — Staying on your HIV treatment and achieving an undetectable viral load dramatically lowers the risk of transmitting HIV to partners.
- Regular STI screenings — Frequent check-ups with your doctor are essential for catching and treating STIs early. It's really important to talk to your doctor before starting any new medication — even over-the-counter ones — since some treatments can interact with ART.

Your doctor is your best resource for finding the right treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. Don't hesitate to bring up any symptoms or concerns at your next visit!
