Yes! There are housing resources specifically available for people living with HIV. The Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) program is a great place to start.

Here's what to know about HOPWA:

- It's federally funded and run by state and local governments
- It supports people with low incomes in finding safe, stable housing
- Generally available to those earning below 80% of the median income in their area
- Eligibility rules may vary, including for people with undocumented status

To get the most current eligibility information, reach out to your local housing agency or email (Email address can only be seen by the question and answer creators) It's also worth exploring community health centers in your area, as they can often connect you with local HIV-related services and referrals, including housing support.

State programs for people living with HIV may also offer housing assistance — what's available can vary depending on where you live, so checking with your state's health department is a smart move.

@A myHIVteam Member, only a medical case manager can help you with housing. if you do not have one, you will need one. medical case managers are free to see. if you do not have a medical case manager, ask for one at your HIV clinic.

Look, my apologies. That wasn’t my intention. Unfortunately, I made a mistake and posted a reply meant for someone else—in response to a different question—on your wall. I’m not sure how that happened. I won’t go into too much detail, but someone asked what song people were listening to at that moment, and I thought I was replying to that person. In any case, I’m deleting my post right now. It was never my intention to mock anyone. I recognize how much effort goes into finding housing; having experienced homelessness myself, I know very well that this is not something to joke about. Once again, please forgive my mistake.
