That's great to hear that your reflexes have been feeling sharp! It's actually worth paying attention to, because HIV can affect the nervous system in various ways over time.

HIV can impact nerve function, which plays a role in reflexes and physical responsiveness. Some things that can affect reflexes and nerve health when living with HIV include:

- Peripheral neuropathy — this involves pain, tingling, numbness, or burning in the hands and feet, which can affect nerve signaling
- HIV-associated neurocognitive disorder (HAND) — HIV can affect brain function, which may influence coordination and response times
- ART medications — some older HIV medications were linked to nerve damage, though newer treatments carry much lower risk Staying on ART consistently and keeping your viral load undetectable is one of the best ways to protect your nervous system and maintain good physical function — including those reflexes you're proud of! 💪

It's always a good idea to mention any changes in sensation, coordination, or reflexes to your doctor, just so they can keep an eye on things.
