I'm curious, because my left testicle is severely hard and shrinking fast. There is no pain. Should I go and see a doctor at a walk-in clinic to get it checked out? What could this be?

Yes go to the doctor. You might have Hanta Balls. It could be fatal if left untreated...

Yes, absolutely go and get this checked out — and sooner rather than later. A testicle that is hardening and shrinking quickly is something that needs prompt medical attention, even without pain. Pain-free doesn't mean problem-free! For someone living with HIV, changes like this can sometimes be linked to conditions that are more common when the immune system is under stress. Some possibilities a doctor may want to rule out include:

- Testicular atrophy — shrinking of the testicle, which can have several causes
- Kaposi's sarcoma — a condition associated with HIV that can affect various parts of the body including the genitals
- Infections or other growths — some of which can be painless but still serious A walk-in clinic is a reasonable first step, but make sure to also inform your HIV specialist or care team as soon as possible. They'll want to know about any new physical changes, especially ones happening this quickly.

The doctor will likely do a physical exam and may order imaging like an ultrasound to get a clearer picture of what's going on. Don't delay — fast changes in the body are always worth investigating promptly.

Are you on testosterone replacement therapy or trt? That can certainly explain the shrinking of your testicle with no pain. But it would not hurt for you to go to the doctor and have it checked out. I have been on trt since 2003 and yes it does shrink them quite a bit. And mine used to be pretty darn large but alas not So Much Anymore.

It's been all over the news lately. A strand of Hanta virus.
