Members opened up about what silence feels like for them personally, with answers ranging from peaceful to restless depending on the day and life circumstances. Several members shared that being alone has taught them self-reflection, with one noting that sitting in true silence is a sign of being comfortable with yourself, while others cope through Bible reading or simply listening to the world around them. A recurring theme was that life challenges, like health recovery, grief, or long stretches of solitude, can make quiet feel heavy, but faith and a positive mindset help many members push through.

Considering husband's profession I was usually alone weeks at a time.
.
But then an expiranent from the past crossed my mind....

If you can't sit alone by yourself with no tv no fone or other external sounds for half an hour you can't stand yourself so how can you expect others to be able to stand you .

Thank goodness I realized I conquered that test many times over the years .

But ya know its kind of peaceful to just sit in silence and listen to what goes on in the workd around you :)
