I notice we often use words like 'battle,' 'warrior,' or 'patient.' But lately, I’ve been thinking about how those words affect our stress levels. How do you describe your relationship with HIV to yourself? Is it an enemy, a roommate you didn't ask for, or just a line item on your medical chart?
To be honest, I don't think about it. I live MY life and be proactive when I believe I need to. My diagnosis is just part of my existence on this planet.
