not any different than people who do not have HIV. The old recommendation was 8 , 8 oz glasses of water a day, but that didn't work for everyone. It wasn't enough water for overly obese people, and it was too much for people with anerxia. So the new guidelines is half your body weight in ounces of water. So for instance if you are 100 pounds, you'd drink 50 ounces of water a day. if you were 400 pounds, you'd need 200 ounces a day. If you were 200 pounds, you'd need 100 ounces a day. now to put that into the metric system it would be this:
The Metric Rule of Thumb The standard metric equivalent is 33 milliliters of water for every 1 kilogram of body weight. Metric Examples Following your example format (where weight is halved to find the target amount), here is how the metric version looks using kilograms and liters: 50 kilograms would be 1.65 liters (50 times 33 ml), 75 kilograms would be 2.48 liters, (75 times 33 ml), 100 kilograms would be 3.30 liters (100 times 33 ml).

I never took stock in the water "requirements" - it's crap. You know the best tell for a glass of water (or any liquid).... is when you're thirsty.
