Wondering to this day, how I got here. I’ve posted about this before, and this is my safe space
I was married for 25 yrs. Abused on every level, just not physically. Didn’t know how to leave a lonely marriage. Embarrassed and ashamed that I married the wrong guy.
Siblings on opposite sides of the country all alone in the state I live in.

I was alone and lonely on every level
I cheated. I’m not a drug user. I’m not a gay man. (The stigma)
This guy “looked” healthy, not sickly not like a… read more

My husband cheated on me many times. I was too strong because situations required me to be and a couple of years of long distance relationship didn't help either as he got to live as a bachelor. I don't know when he started cheating on me but when his HIV progressed to AIDS until he went to the doctor, I had no clue. I still didn't have a clue of the cheating until I took a couple of trips by myself and then discovered the evidence of many affairs for many years. Instead of giving up a long marriage, I changed me, learned how to not be so independent, include him in decisions which led us to rediscover each other and stay married. Do I worry about him watching gay porn, cheating on me again, getting another variant of HIV - All yes. Do I have to trust in him? 100% Yes. Good Luck to you. I hope you find people so that you are not lonely.

This is a Positive Women's virtual support group, they meet every other Thursday on Zoom. I have other meetings on Thursdays but know maybe half of the women who are in there. It's a great place to feel less alone and begin to feel normal & get some HIV education and community motivation. You should drop in they are so very nice. You can tell them Brooke the Positive Women's Network Missouri state co-chair sent you.

Please let me know if you have any questions and are looking for more places to connect with more HIV positive women. There are a lot of us and we are everywhere.

Brooke
