My pharmacist recommending taking all the zincs magnesium and other supplements like that 12 hours apart so they don't interfere with the absorption of the ARV/ART

I agree with @A myHIVteam Member. Ask your doctor before taking. Some supplements need a 2-hour, 4-hour, or, like Julie said, 12-hour window before taking them after taking hiv meds for interaction reasons.

It's important to be cautious about taking any supplements while on antiretroviral therapy (ART). While magnesium can be beneficial, you should always consult with your healthcare provider before starting any supplements, including magnesium glycinate. Some herbs and supplements can potentially interact with antiretroviral medications. Your healthcare provider can evaluate if magnesium glycinate is safe with your specific ARV regimen and can help monitor for any potential interactions. They may want to check your kidney function and other health markers before recommending any supplements. This conversation should be part of your routine HIV care visits.
