Members shared a variety of ways they handle rude people, with the most common response being to simply walk away and protect their peace. Several members described using humor, ignoring the behavior, or reflecting the energy back in a calm way, while one member shared a powerful personal story about ending a friendship after a middle-of-the-night outburst. A recurring theme was knowing your own limits, choosing your battles wisely, and prioritizing your emotional well-being over engaging with negativity.

In my own home, I do not stand for it and call them on it. Out in public, I ignore if or if I need to commit, try to give the energy back to them in a positive way.

I had an assertiveness training course 20 years ago.. I use the assertiveness training to manage difficult people or challenging scenarios.. Theres 3 books too. Feel the fear and do it anyway, Dont say yes when you want to say no, and Assert yourself. You can buy these online or Book Stores.

I tend to ignore rude people, I don't confront, I just walk away and figure they have issues in their life, so they are not going to be an issue in mine.

I’ve learned to tune them out. I have a built in cut off switch.

I think to myself, better people have been worse.
