In my own home, I do not stand for it and call them on it. Out in public, I ignore if or if I need to commit, try to give the energy back to them in a positive way.
I had an assertiveness training course 20 years ago.. I use the assertiveness training to manage difficult people or challenging scenarios.. Theres 3 books too. Feel the fear and do it anyway, Dont say yes when you want to say no, and Assert yourself. You can buy these online or Book Stores.
I tend to ignore rude people, I don't confront, I just walk away and figure they have issues in their life, so they are not going to be an issue in mine.
I’ve learned to tune them out. I have a built in cut off switch.
I think to myself, better people have been worse.
