Personally if I got an audience with the President, I would ask him to make all HIV and STI treatment and care free of charge, and I would tell him very politely, the reasons why this should and must be the case. Here in the UK all STI and HIV care is automatically free no matter which Political Party rules.
And I commend you for all your degrees Dave then you should know best than any of us here, that what this man has done to immigrants, who come here to work for services, for children with cancer and HIV, by eliminating these resources and taking away from social services for the homeless and mentally unstable ...You Dave of all people , should know ,... that is wrong.
Not only has he disrupted the science of medicine for those of us who wait for a cure for HIV but he's disrupted the progress of clinical trials in areas like cancer, red sickle cell, vaccines, hemophilia and so on. Even for conditions like yourself Dave, who are currently going through a health situation, he is eliminating any science to find a cure for what ails You.
He also does not respect our veterans nor the services that they need when they come home from war.
Indeed, none of us has a reason to count on any of the supports we enjoy remaining viable. It might be individual states who plug some of the gaps for their citizens. Potentially that might lead to migrations within the states, not unlike the northern migration a century+ ago.
If I thought a conversation with POTUS would effect any sort of change, I have a lot to say. However, he isn't swayed by anyone but himself. He reacts to roadblocks.
Remember to keep the protest peaceful. Select bigger cities Trump has militarized for this event i.e Los Angeles
Its a sad situation @A myHIVteam Member In the UK healthcare is unaffected, no matter which political Party wins the election, its a shame the US constitution doesnt protect people with HIV, as it does in the UK
