Yes I do!
That is so wise. I think I will venture back into AIDS advocacy now that I've endured most of my spinal surgeries. It's my calling and I think it's time to stand up once again.♥️🙏🌈😎👍
I was the facilitator for a HIV support group all of 1999 in Charlotte NC.
Then I moved back to Florida. I still attended one but with school and
working it's very difficultt RyanWhite helped. Me with the materials
needed to start a group. I now have my Social Work degree and am also a
Chaplain. Check with Ryan White in your area.
Hello all!
Groups are another form of therapy.
Gay bars are actually a form of group therapy. It took me years to realize this. Groups are great for everyone that need support with those who have similar needs and experiences. Sharing is caring. We group to find others to support us in those needs. Your best friend is group. It is anywhere you feel safe and heard. Going to strangers to hear their stories makes your situation relevant. Relationships are formed with commonalities.
Groups bring those common experiences together to form a bond. We all have different levels of trust. We all have different experiences. We share to gain comfort in our similar circumstances. Trust will follow. Healing ❤️🩹 orchestrates itself in progress. Each of us has a different path in that progress. Time is our biggest asset. Use it in a group. And take your time!
Love and hugs! 🤗 ❤️
Definitely 💯 I am so very fortunate to have found an amazing Women’s Support Group through the Grace Project @ Legacy Cares in Dallas , Texas which is Phenomenal!!!! Although I am not a resident of Texas and reside in Florida I have a close knitted bond with them and consider them the perfect community & tribe… Through Zoom Meetings, emails , and Conferences I am very active and stay abreast with opportunities, events , and emotional support…. Living in the rural Southern State of Florida I see how stigma once again impacts people and they are not showing up in the Spaces which benefits me. So as a result I tend to travel, network and advocate for myself in other areas, cities , and states…
