Members connected over the shared experience of feeling overwhelmed or frustrated while living with HIV, with several describing how medication side effects like fatigue can make daily life challenging even when remaining undetectable. Many members reflected on surviving the AIDS crisis, expressing gratitude for being alive today while acknowledging the smaller community that remains and the ongoing health complications some face, including gastrointestinal issues triggered by medication and diet. A recurring theme was finding strength through faith, community support, and the miracle of modern treatments, with members offering each other encouragement, humor, and reminders that no one is alone in this journey.

I'm lucky to have survived, too. Living in New York City from 1987 - 2005. We fought so hard to raise awareness in the beginning. It really brought us all together. Heartbreaking times. We must celebrate ourselves and keep our histories alive.
