The person who gave me HIV knew they had it, they also knew there was medicine I could take to prevent me from getting it. He still was too much of a coward to tell me he had it and give me a chance to protect myself. I feel robbed of life as I knew it!!!!😭

I used to feel that Life robbed me. Especially when I found out I had HIV. I was devastated at the time, not to mention, I was also incarcerated at the time. When I was released, I went on a ten year run of everything! Nothing was not forbidden. I did everything except stick a needle in me. When I say everything, use your imagination and probably I did it. While I was on that run, I was angry at everything, and everybody. I felt the world owed me. I felt robbed! During that time, I wasn't taking any medication either. It's a miracle I survived. But one day, I came to mu senses, I began to want to be a productive member of society. I want to contribute to the world. I realized nobody owes me anything but I owe it to myself and the world to appreciate life.

Thank you. I know I should have been more careful about the choices I made. I definitely learned you can not trust anyone and you’re the only person who can protect yourself.

No I didn’t feel robbed due to my drug addiction - I knew there may be consequences yet didn’t care - I can’t speak for the HIV yet 99% sure as to the person who gave me Hep C yet what good does it do to cast blame as I have accepted my own responsibility and poor decisions

I did for a while. It's normal to feel betrayed especially if you were in a relationship. Its a big ask to treat your significant other like a hook up. So don't blame yourself. You can only make decisions with the information you have at the time.
