Since you're traveling to Spain for 10 days, you'll need to adjust your Bictarvy schedule to the new time zone. Start by consulting with your healthcare provider 4-6 weeks before your trip to discuss your specific medication adjustment plan.
For a longer stay like yours, it's recommended to gradually adjust your medication timing to match Spain's local time. Begin shifting your medication schedule a few days before departure by taking it 1-2 hours earlier each day, since you're traveling east. Keep your Bictarvy in your carry-on luggage and pack extra doses in case of travel delays. Once you arrive in Spain, take your medication according to the local time. If you typically take Bictarvy with breakfast, continue this routine in Spain.
Set reminders on your phone to help manage the new schedule, and stay consistent with your timing. Remember to stay hydrated and well-rested during your trip, as travel can be demanding on your body.
